Pad Kaphrao! Cooking Demonstration During a Thai Cooking Class in Chiang Mai

Some lessons are remembered as much for the laughter as the cooking.

This short video is from my Thai cooking class in Chiang Mai on 29 January 2026. I had one student take the lead at the stove while I talked the rest of the group through what was happening, turning him into the unexpected super star of the moment in front of 18 other students. When the fresh chilies went into the pan, the heat filled the space almost instantly. What followed was a lot of coughing, a lot of laughter, and a
very real reminder of what cooking Pad Kaphrao is actually like.
