Thai Secret Cooking Class in Chiang Mai, Thailand – 6 May 2026

This was my Thai cooking class on 6 May 2026 at Thai Secret Cooking School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
We had a big happy group of 24 people. Everyone was smiling, cooking, tasting, and enjoying the day together.
We started at the local market, then came back to the garden to cook in the open-air kitchen.
These photos show the day very simply: the market, the garden, and the cooking stations.

We began the morning at the local market in Chiang Mai. I like starting here because students can see the fresh ingredients before we cook with them. Thai herbs, vegetables, curry ingredients, chilies, coconut milk, and small market details all help
make the cooking easier to understand later.

After the market, we came back to my garden. Before cooking, We took a group photo in the garden. This is part of what I love about the school. It is quiet, green, and away from the busy city feeling.

At the end of class, students received printed photos from the day. I have been printing class photos for many years because I think it gives students something real to take home, not only a recipe.
